WeDevTek is the trade name under which Wilmar Arango, an individual domiciled in Colombia, offers software development services (hereinafter "we," "WeDevTek," or "the controller"). We are the data controller for the processing described in this document.
This document explains what information the Site collects, what we use it for, who we share it
with, and what you can do about it. It applies only to the Site itself — the
brand page, its informational sections, and its contact form — not to the
products WeDevTek publishes. Each product (for example, Safe Caller) has its own privacy
policy, tailored to what that specific product does with your data, published in its own space
under /legal/<product>/. If you were looking for a product's policy, you'll
find it linked from that product's own page.
Technical note: the domain safecaller.wedevtek.com serves the
same content as wedevtek.com for anything that isn't Safe Caller-specific
(including this very page, also reachable from that domain) — this is an infrastructure detail
with no effect on the scope of this policy, which still covers only the brand site and its
contact form.
The Site is operated from Colombia and this policy is governed by Colombian data-protection law (Ley 1581 de 2012 and its implementing decrees). If you write to us from another country, you additionally have the rights recognized by the data-protection law of your place of residence (for example, the GDPR if you reside in the European Union), and those rights prevail wherever they cannot be waived.
The Site does not collect any personal data merely by being visited. We only collect information when you choose to fill out and submit the contact form. In that case, the fields you send are:
We do not request or collect any other data through the Site.
The contact form is processed through Web3Forms, a third-party service that receives the submission and forwards it by email to our inbox. Web3Forms acts as our data processor for this single purpose only: we don't use it for anything else, nor do we give it access to any other data on the Site. You can review its own policy at web3forms.com/privacy.
We do not operate our own database of contact-form messages: each submission reaches our inbox like any other email we receive, and we retain it the way we would retain any correspondence (see section 8).
Like any website, the server hosting wedevtek.com automatically logs technical information for each request — typically the IP address, date and time, the page requested, and the browser used (User-Agent). This is standard practice for any web server, needed to operate the Site, diagnose failures, and protect it from abuse. We do not cross-reference these logs with contact-form data or use them to build a profile about you. They are kept only as long as needed for those purposes before being rotated and deleted.
The Site does not use cookies, whether for analytics or any other purpose, includes no tracking pixels or advertising SDKs, and does not share your browsing activity with any third party. If we ever add a tool that does use cookies (for example, aggregate analytics), we will update this policy before turning it on and will do so transparently.
Local storage of your theme preference. The Site lets you choose a light,
dark, or system theme, and remembers that choice by saving it in your browser's
localStorage (key wedevtek-theme). It is not a cookie: it is never
sent with any request, neither Web3Forms nor any other third party receives it, it holds no
personal data, and it cannot be used to identify you or follow your browsing. It stays on your
device only; you can clear it any time from your browser settings, and choosing "System"
removes the key.
Data you submit through the contact form is used only to:
We keep those messages in our email for as long as they remain useful to follow up on our conversation with you, or as long as a legal or accounting obligation requires it, and we delete them once they no longer serve those purposes or when you ask us to (see section 10).
We do not sell or transfer your data. The only third party involved in the normal operation of the contact form is Web3Forms (section 5), as the technical processor of the submission. We may also disclose information if a competent authority requires it by law or a valid court order, or if necessary to protect our rights or people's safety.
Under Ley 1581 de 2012 (and, depending on your residence, other data-protection rules that apply to you), you can:

Since the only data we have about you is what you sent us yourself, to identify your request we'll ask you to write from the same email you used in the form, or to tell us the approximate date of your message.
The Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children under that age through its contact form.
The Site is served exclusively over HTTPS. We do not store passwords, financial data, or any other sensitive data category, because the Site never asks for them.
We may update this policy when the Site's operation or applicable regulation changes. If the change is material, we will reflect it by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
